“…I love you?” he asked, voice cracking a little bit since the Ex-Champion was nervous about how his wife reacted. “Is this supposed to be a regular thing for him?”

Did he really this this was his fault? Who does Red thing Jasper learned to climb a tree from? As tempting as it was to let him take all the blame...

“I love you too.” She responded as Kitty took hold of her back in preparation to fly up. “...But Jasper learned to climb trees from me. So the blame is mine. You’re not mad at me for giving in to his request.. are you?”

Red gave Yellow a one-arm hug from behind. After that, he placed a few flowers in her hands. "It's supposed to be your birthday... Want to celebrate?" Red asked, "How about we all go out for ice cream when we're done with work?"

Her hands reached up to hold his as she leaned back against him for a moment before holding the bouquet. “Not supposed...” She murmured. “It is.” She looked up at him with a smile before placing a kiss on his cheek. “And ice cream does sound like a great treat. Thank you.”

Pats the teeny tiny pebble Steven on the head. The raven-haired male seemed to be a jungle gym for the Pikachu that was with him.

He looks up at him in confusion, and then at the yellow mouse-looking creature. “Hello!”

She watched the Pichu go with her hat, though her attention turned back toward Red, bringing attention to her hair. Her hands moved with one to finger brush through her hair, the other reaching for a hair tie in order to straighten out and tie her hair back into a high pony tail before she could feel better. Yellow just... felt weird being awake with her hair completely down like that. 

Sure, she’s okay with her hair undone when it comes to sleeping at night, but she normally takes care of her hair first thing when waking up too.

“Much better with my hair tied up...” She spoke. “How is everything else?”

The Champion was still frost-bitten and his clothes were torn up and poorly stitched together. He waited at the front of the gym with his arms crossed, and a thin blanket over his shoulders. Snow was still on the fabric, clinging to his face and ripped jeans.

“…I need a place to crash.” Red mumbled. “…And maybe a hot shower…”

Green gave a small smirk. “Sure. I got an extra room that Daisy stays in, you can sleep there for now. She doesn’t visit my place as much.” Because her place was so much nicer than the typical bachelor pad that Green generally lived in. “Fair warning though, I’m not gonna clean up any more than I already do just because you’re there.”

Red was bored out of his mind and getting restless. The former Champion wanted to travel. Instead, he hugged Yellow from behind and nestled his chin in her shoulder. That was the best way to calm down his nerves and avoid leaving for Arceus knows how long.

Yellow was seated upon a tree stump with a book in her lap. It wasn’t much aside from studying mechanic things, so when she felt arms around her, the book closed just as there was a bit of weight on her shoulder.

She turned her head and smiled a little. “...Is there anything I can do for you today, Red?” She asked as she relaxed. It wasn’t every day that she noticed that he was a tad restless, but it’s also because she’s been with him that she notices his behavior from habits whether he wanted her to know or not. It was a thing she managed to pick up on when it came to him.
