Noragami Verse: Three Headcanon Drabbles
‘ TRUTH ! ’ >:(((
❝ Miss Sara.❞ The AI called softly, but with an evidently serious confidence hanging from his voice. ❝ Would you mind if I spoke in my real-self's behalf?❞
Unlike his formerly-living self, the boy projected on the screen had a definitely less malicious countenance―his teal eyes weren't hollowed in horror, neither was his voice stained with usual bitter untruth. But everything else was just as accurate as his real counterpart; from his nearly inexpressible gestures, his gaze turning away in lieu of a mild fluster, to the way his fingers fidgeted anxiously against his scarf. It was... Shin, the man left behind right before the death game even began.
❝ I never hated you, Miss Sara.❞ He said simply, even though a confession of this level would have weighted thousands for the real, and now deceased, Shin. ❝ You were a threat to my life; the one with the highest percentage in the game surely would have to be the cause of the lowest's death, right?❞ He smiled, though the corner of his lips twitched sadly.
❝ I hadn't wanted to believe it at first, not immediately at least. But when I read the emails… And when I was attacked for it, I began to make light of the situation―the strangeness of how you were able to win everyone over in less than a day. It was… just really scary.❞
Just like in life, the projection adjusted his beanie, pulling it a little against his seagreen hair while he cleared his throat. ❝ I was… Uh, very much terrified of you, indeed. To the very end too, until I realized... you…❞ He paused, glancing down guiltily. He felt unable to speak any further though, the words stuck in the back of his throat with shame. He simply shook his head then.
❝ ...You're free to either believe it or not, though. I was a… liar, after all.❞
❝ i’ve got your back, okay? ❞ ( uvu )
“Thanks Sara, glad to know at least one person here trusts me.”
Sara wasn't excepting to see Sou of all people wandering the halls this late at night. Her eyes cautiously watching him for any signs that he was up to something, but unfortunately she came across nothing in particular that she deemed out of the ordinary -- not that she had the energy at all to argue with him. She was tired. Far too tired for quarrels. Standing beside him, she crossed her arms over her chest, clearing her throat before she spoke. "Can't sleep either, huh?"
He’d been sitting there for a long while, on the seat across the windowpanes showing a dark panorama full of stars. Fake, all fake, like his confidence and current standing and very much acted persona. The sleepless nights were already pilling over his shoulders and under his eyes, the guilt and the fear was all blurred out into a messy mix of emotions; of grief and anger. A hand rose to run through his teal bangs, as his beanie was already taken off in a move of emotional discomfort.
He was tired, so so tired...
The voice that spoke to him made him twitch in surprise, as he realized he’d completely dropped his guard in his moment of peaceful (but definitely not calm) solitude. He quickly grabbed his beanie and placed it on top of his head, eyes now settled in a leer as he turned over to her and flashed her an annoyed grin. He was definitely not up for arguments tonight, specially not after the dream that just woke him up.
❝ ...”Either”? I see. So you’re not just taking a suspiciously late night walk, hm?❞ He was actually way too tired to play the suspicion game, really. His smile dropped, and so he turned away so she wouldn’t notice this. ❝ Is there something you need of me, Miss Sara? I am in no condition to do attractions this late at night though, sadly.❞
