Gamemode 1 -  Prologue - Soren’s Excerpt

Finally getting to the good parts~ With special artwork done by @jackietsuki SAY HELLO TO GM1 SOREN! ( @soren-and-his-ender-friends, @ask-the-enchanted-architect, this is for you awesome folk! )

Soren closed another book, adding it to the shelf. He smiled at his library, exactly how he’d pictured it, just like everything he created. Some of the books’ pages were yellow with age, some still had the smell of fresh ink. Soren walked up the long, spiral staircase that lead up to one of the tall towers of his mountain home.   Soren had gotten into old habits in his time alone, singing nonsense songs and dancing in the hallways. No one was around to watch him, but he didn’t mind being both performer and audience for himself, as well as author and reader.  Soren hummed a little song to himself as he walked to the edge of the tower, looking out at the world around him. He grinned, and stood on the ledge. The overworld was beautiful, and from his home he could see the many biomes that stretched to the horizon. The islands, the valley, the desert, and the forests that shaped this world and let him feel at home.  Soren took a deep breath of morning air, and then, Soren jumped. Soren didn’t scream as he fell, nor did his body hit the solid earth below him. Instead, he rocketed upward into the skies, laughing at the rush of adrenaline and wind. He loved flying, having moved past his simple fears. His cape fluttered behind him as he laughs, looking down at the world below him. He felt the freedom that solitude in the mountains had given him. It was his outlet. When Soren gets back to his home, he notices that one of his older books had fallen to the floor. He picks up the purple cover, brushing off dust and smiling at the title. Something he hadn’t read in ages. “The End - A guide to the world of the Void”

“There are a lot of reasons I lived alone for a long time. I like being able to use my powers freely. I like being able to create and build without worry of others asking why I don’t get hurt from falling. I like being able to think for myself and do what I want to. The others all chose to have to hide their powers. I chose to be able to express myself freely.”

Gamemode 1 - An excerpt from the Prologue - Magnus

Another character for my Gamemode 1 AU - All hail the destructive and great King Magnus, of the Blastlands! @pastelpaddies / @cacklingbomb , this one’s for you~

The people of the Blastlands had a sort of tradition - Whoever among them was strongest was crowned King. Therefor, a powerful being such as Magnus had held the crown for ages. He knew the people didn't comprehend the fullness of his power, he had not shown it to them. Those who were foolish enough to challenge his intimidating nature were quickly put in their place. His full potential, while hidden from his subjects, was not unused. Though, he had come close. Bringing a cannon to a bow fight simply because he had the ammunition for it tends to get a person a reputation. Magnus knew that the people were beginning to wonder why he had been able to keep his crown for so long. Before he found the Blastlands and the griefers, the longest rule of a king was less than half a year. Magnus did not keep track of the days he had stayed in his obsidian spire, but he knew one day a challenger would come that may be too strong or destructive for the people to ignore his body not taking damage. He knew the griefers will find a challenger to 'match' him one day, and he must be prepared for that day...

"Listen, shortstack. When you've seen the kind of stuff I have, you'll understand why I find destroying things much more rewarding. Sure, I'm a king, but you have to ask... why is it that I'm the one who chose to use my gifts to their full potential?"

Gamemode 1 - Excerpt from the Prologue - Gabriel.

Part of my Gamemode 1 AU. @gabriel-the-warrior , was thinking about you when I wrote this part. Other characters are a WIP.

By far the most popular name among the Order was Gabriel, who had (as the stories say) given the final blow to kill the dragon. He was a tall man with brawny dark skin and a deep voice that spoke with formality, as if he was the narrator for his own life. He was always seen equipped with shining diamond armor and a custom sword, always polished and clean. Gabriel was always ready for a fight, and was the very definition of a hero. He upheld the 'story' he had chosen for himself - strong and noble, and always there to protect the common people. There came a time every so often that when he was asked to speak at a festival people held for the Order - celebrating the different gifts the Order expressed. Gabriel loved the motivation he could give at Endercon, it was nice to know people cared. And soon, that time would come again.

"What is a hero? They call me it when they see me. Is it a good thing? I carry a weapon... was I a killer? Did I take away lives and futures? I do not remember such things.... I do remember keeping something dark hidden from the world... but what?" (Gabe gets amnesia)
