Looking for a Co-founder to fore fill a Technical position in a Dutch startup
This blog is writting for Gamerspath, but since the blogging system is being made I will post it here and move it to there if the slot hasn't been filled.
As I wrote earlier on my blog that recognizing you are missing the talent is half the battle, well today we came to the conclusion to fill this talent by looking for a technical co-founder.
Melvin and I have been very conscious about our skill-sets and our capabilities. And today we had a meeting about this. We came to the conclusion that if we wouldn't find an Engineer/Programmer/Hacker for Gamerspath it could take very long until it becomes reality.
So this post is all about providing information into what we are looking and what we can offer.
A little background on the company
Gamerspath is a social network for Gamers. The idea originally started on Facebook, as we had a group to talk with friends about games and etc. And to exchange gamer tags and more. It soon hit me that, Facebook, was a barrier into what I thought about it. I wanted to exchange and talk easily with friends. And as we added more people to the group it became even clearer.
So I started working on this idea and soon got Melvin a great UX/Designer on board who immediately had the same thoughts and wanted this to succeed as bad as me. Which was awesome. So in February we started off slow, I registered the Company here in the Netherlands under my name as Melvin started designing the concept for the main page. A few week later we had a concept homepage done. It took a bit longer as Melvin is currently working for himself, his employer and is still finishing up school. This will of course change, but thats the future.
So at this moment we are on the stage of opening up the beta registration in a week, have the blogging system done and move onto our next step in the process.
And this is where, you, the new co-founder will come in.
Here is what we are looking as we both lack the skill and knowledge to make Gamerspath a success and useable.
Share, talk and connect with other gamers around the world. Represent your team and track your progress. Talk games; create game pages that are controlled by you not the admin department! Broadcast your recently purchased games, post videos, screenshots and blog your progress!
To have a large amount of gamers on our network communicating with each other and creating content every day!
We are currently in the early phases of the company. We are about to launch our beta sign up and demo page for friends & investors.
We are looking for someone who has the following skills & interests;
- C++
- JavaScript
- Phyton
- PHP
- SQL
- Team player
- Entrepreneur
- Game fanatic
- Passionate about the idea and able to see the potential it has
As we are based in the Netherlands and plan on staying here unless something enables us to do otherwise, we are looking for someone who is also able and willing to move here or is able to move with us to a desired location.
