Cons need a Cosplayer Break Area...

Was running around RTX taking pics when this came to mind. A room where cosplayers can go, take off parts of their cosplay, and can relax for a few with nobody allowed to ask them for pictures for a bit. Also could be a place for them to 'talk shop' for a bit.

My Roommates Don't Understand Our World

Me: Yeah, my family used to hit up Gen-Con every summer, but it's way too expensive, so we stopped.

Austin: Too expensive?

Audi: Come on, how much could that possibly cost?

Me:..

Me: Lemme do a little math for you. 

Me: 2 hotel rooms, four days each. Four days worth of food for four people, two of which are teenaged girls. Gas for the road trip down to Indiana. Four full access, all weekend admission badges. Budget for merch, at convention prices. Admission to additional panels and talks. Autographs. Also the possible additional cost of putting together a cosplay. Get on our level.

I like Frontalot. I didn't at one point; I've since discovered better. Anyway, he pretty much lays out very close to my own feelings on this entire thing.

Last year's TGXPO was male-only for logical reasons unlike the misconceptions from the mainstream gaming media. Females took the initiative to shut the doubters up and make their own gaming convention recently. This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship for reasons Ahmed will explain in his editorial, paying tribute to the Saudi gaming movement!
