My Roommates Don't Understand Our World

Me: Yeah, my family used to hit up Gen-Con every summer, but it's way too expensive, so we stopped.

Austin: Too expensive?

Audi: Come on, how much could that possibly cost?

Me:..

Me: Lemme do a little math for you. 

Me: 2 hotel rooms, four days each. Four days worth of food for four people, two of which are teenaged girls. Gas for the road trip down to Indiana. Four full access, all weekend admission badges. Budget for merch, at convention prices. Admission to additional panels and talks. Autographs. Also the possible additional cost of putting together a cosplay. Get on our level.

If there is one thing I always wonder about conventions is this: How did partying and drinking at cons became to be? I'm honestly curious.

The 2013 convention season was perhaps our greatest yet.  We've been to so many  local and out of state conventions and we've just had an helluva time at each and every convention we've attendant.  The stories we told and created, the people we had met, the miles we traveled, the new friends we made, just everything about this year has been great and 2014 will be even better.   I honestly can not wait to see what 2014 holds for us!

I welcome all my followers who are cosplayers and conventions goers to come check out my new blog "Club 22".  Club 22 is a group of fellow cosplayers, friends, and con-goers from the Saint Louis area who' travel to different conventions  around the Missouri/Illinois and  Midwest region .  We want to network with other cosplayers within the Midwest and hopefully across America once we get big enough.

Okay.. Having gone to numerous Cons of different genres, this gave me a good laugh.
