disco elysium is a game with an incredible world and choices that actually make you reflect on yourself and think about how you are playing. therefore its unfortunate that my system for choice-making in this run is "whatever will make kim happy"

Talking of intros, there was one with Smoke and Bi-Han in which they talk of their mother

First of all, for some reason I thought Smoke hadn’t known their mother. Idk it’s always “their father adopted Bi-Han”, plus I am used to thinking of only Ice Dad being in the Lin Kuei, without Ice/Fire Mom so I never questioned this assumption

Also. Smoke didn’t get to finish what he was saying but he clearly was bringing up their mother to say she would disapprove of what Bi-Han was doing, and Bi-Han was quick to interrupt to say that she would approve of it

Which got me thinking. At first I thought Bi-Han was just. He thinks he is right and Smoke is wrong so he believes his mother would agree with him. But he never says that their father would agree with him, he accepts that he wouldn’t (but for him this mean their father was wrong)

So maybe it’s true and their mother would agree with him. Maybe he got this way of thinking from her

Or maybe he is just saying it because he thinks he is right. And maybe it’s easier to think their mother would agree with him because he has presumably been dead for a longer time, but maybe. Maybe he was closer to their mother than to their father, and her approval matters more to him

did it, finished bg3 ✌️i think the bard milf i made was too powerful to be romanced. we'll have to reply to discover if there is a right romance for her but its not looking that way folks

whats up nerds so i've very recently FINALLY joined the bg3 bandwagon and so far here are my findings 1) im very bad at this but its okay <3 2) its so fucking funny that astarion gets inspired every time i succesfully lie to someone which is a lot bc im a bard

Finished story mode, unlocked Havik, etc etc

The boss fight is really disappointing. It is actually even more disappointing than the tower version of it, because at least in the tower version it takes two rounds to win

Also… the first stream I watched, the guy picked Subs for the final chapter. Subs was wearing the Light skin, and I presume it means it wasn’t mk1!Subs but a version of him from another timeline - which makes sense, fate of the world or not, our mk1!Bi-Han wouldn’t be there fighting under Liu Kang. I saw people saying that was his titan version, even

The second video I watched, the guy picked Scorpion, and I am not sure anymore but I think he also wore the Light skin

And we can see a bunch of people in the scene wearing the Light skins too

So why when I picked Smoke, was he just wearing his regular skin??? It was so funny to imagine that regular mk1 Smoke managed to end all of that, when there were so many powerful alternates around

I am sad I didn’t get to fight any of the genderbent ninjas. Both videos I watched had them :( I did get cyber Smoke though, at least

I will probably redo this chapter with some other characters, to get to see the mixandmatchies again and all that. Also people talked of a secret fight? I thought it was cyber Smoke but now I’m not sure so I will have to see for myself
