Highlighting a part of my painting which most people will not be familiar with. Even I wasn't till recommended by a friend. This is from Assam, one of the 7sisters in north east. The hat is called Japi and the cloth underneath is Gamosa. They are used for respect and welcoming a person. Gamosa is also used for several other purposes.
