Nepeta is a weird reason for backing up Gamrezi.
I don't think that Terezi fully knew that Nepeta was dead during that flash when she showed <3< towards him? (And I'm p sure that she was still running on Vriska Killed Everyone from his Chucklevoodoos)
Which is another thing, Gamzee manipulated her. Terezi is the one who manipulates. I don't think she'd ever (knowingly/willingly) allow herself to be controlled like that. And that stupid clown did.
Both of them can be really protective of/loyal to Karkat too? Which could cause some <3< in their different ways of going about it. (Terezi does, for a time, sorta lose that loyalty but it seems like the last year or so she has started to get it back)
And finally, I think a lot of it is Church vs Law.
but man i dunno. i guess it is all up for interpretation and that's just how i see it.
I think Nepeta can be a contributing factor, but definitely not a ~main reason~
