Had a magma w/ my partner. Drew CB, Fresh and Gamut X]
Gamut has learned the command Place in literally two repetitions.
I showed it to her once and she had it the very next time. I barely showed it to her the first time.
It's very good but also. How did she do that? Did she watch other dogs do it and stored it in her memory as a fun thing if the humans ever figured it out? She is not known for her memory or for figuring things out!
I had to resort to hiding the Place mat (bath towel) around the house so she could find it to go to Place, which was wildly popular. I thought about teaching her the words for places around the house, but I don't think this would be very useful - there isn't a specific place I want her to go, generally. (The adage about teaching your dogs to run to the door in an emergency comes to mind.)
I am tempted instead to get her some of the talk buttons and start teaching her her own anatomy. My personal philosophy is that the talk buttons limit a dog's communication - it can then only communicate in your living room. But having a "potty ouch" option would be pretty helpful for later years, and she does love smacking things.

Running the Gamut - a musical etymology
In the 11th century, Christian monks were facing an interesting problem. Their repertoire of chants, which was passed down orally, was constantly growing. It grew so large, in fact, that it would have taken about 10 years to learn. To top it off, all of the liturgy needed to be kept consistent between churches and orders. Forgetting (or even just misremembering) a song could have meant it would…

This is my latest painting with all its components. The top painting is a full spectrum rendering of my setup. The lower one is a gamut mask, meaning I only had the colors in the triangle to recreate the first setup. You can trick your brain quite a bit. This one was pretty fun.
It's a picture I drew in an online class. It is a study of light by time.
I drew it using Photoshop. And the brush is Evan lee's. (Evan lee_Sampled brush 6 13) Google it and you'll find it.
If you want to know how to do this, buy a book called James Gurney's 《Color and Light》. It's a Bible for an artist.
