Ah, Ganjasaurus Rex. Little did I know back in 1987 when I first saw this movie that one day my parents would migrate to the movie's setting: Southern Humboldt County's Redwood forests, the mythical Lost Coast, home of Ganjasaurus Rex.

The only thing this has anything to do with me is that it's a nice segue into saying that I'll be gone for a week while visiting my folks. Adventure! is, after all, what we make out of it.

I know I have a reputation for subjecting myself to the absolute worst the giant monster genre has to offer, but this... this scares me.

apocryphal thing

Fruit flies drift around my glass-pipe. Cheeba

spirits --- perhaps? A friend sends me ink flow

pix, thick thighs, spandex and short-shorts, extra

around the belly. I love my friend, though

we're a world apart. Ghosts are everywhere,

like love. Dr. Teeth told us to, “Begin,

Believe, Begat.” But to start an affair

is an apocryphal thing with a friend.

Everything will change. I brush away specks.

On the laptop, Ganjasaurus Rex, plays.

I feel that heavy cold spot when I'm not

doing right but that need for friends, love, sex

leaves me low. To be appeased with just praise;

to have someone who might quell my distraught.
