Focal Line: Your favorite new character

It’s kind of a tie between Volga and Wizzro? I fell in love with both of them as soon as I saw their character designs, then seeing them in the game… I suppose if I had to choose, I’d choose Wizzro. I liked him the instant I laid eyes on him, and I just have a major thing for the twisted, dark types of characters. Unfortunately, he’s not my favorite of the two to play as. Even leveled up, I find him harder to control than Volga.

Kumite: A Zelda universe you wish had been included

Wind Waker. I would have loved to battle on the Great Sea, maybe even see a character or two from that verse.

27. What would you say is your most challenging in-game moment?

Well, when you have a timer and there are creepy things after you, like Skyward sword’s guardians or worse…Zant’s hand when you go for the orbs…that has been the most difficult thing, I just did that and have someone collect the other for me, it was so scary, maybe I was overly sensitive at the moment but I still have nightmares with that »..

48. Which character would you team up with or rely on in a life threatening situation?

I know the correct answer is Link, but I’m curious enough to team up with Zant, at least when someone asks for help in Hyrule warriors he replies cordially and looks interested in helping, unlike Ghirahim or Ganondorf, so…

49. What art style has been your favorite or you would like to see in future games?

Since I’ve mostly played the ‘big console’ Zelda games, I love all the styles they have used so far, though Skyward sword’s is unique and it looks as they’ll keep with that in the new game, that and a bit of Windwaker, which looks totally awesome. Also Hyrule Warriors’ style is gorgeous, even if not an officially Zelda game.

I think this is the only part when they actually talk to each other, or that I have seen, but from the little info here, I can see they trust and acknowledge each other at this point...

How I feel about this character

At first when I played Twilight Princess I was terrified of him, he was too cold and cruel, at the end when he is pushed to the corner and shows his erratic behaviour, I fell in love, I felt very sorry for all his frustration and sadness, he showed emotions in an extreme way, I think he’s one of the most complex characters I’ve found and I love him.

My unpopular opinion about this character

A lot of people see him as crazy or super cute to an extreme, when he is sharp as a razor when lucid, a great strategist that took his realm and Hyrule in the blink of an eye and killed a queen in front of her people. He is no innocent rose, and I love that.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

IMaybe salvation…or that he was punished, the explosion thing was a bit too much imo…he was desperate….heck, maybe he should have kept the throne in the end ;p

Guide to fighting as Zant because it's not immediately obvious: Zant trips/gets dizzy/stuck when he tries to perform a combo when his red bar (it's under the yellow special one) is full. To vent the red bar, you press your special attack button by itself. The next time you do a regular attack you get a nice spinny freakout from that as well. You need to watch the meter while he combos because it can get high quickly.
