In reality, she was just being a bit capricious. Amara didn't actually think she was good company. At least not when she was being herself. Her terribly grumpy, selfish, emotionally detached self. People seemed to like the whole 'charming' thing better. Here he was saying her grand act wasn't good enough. Hmph.
Of course, buried beneath all the bravado, she was concerned. If he left he would be needlessly endangering himself...For what? Not trusting her? Valid enough, but it wasn't as if waiting a few hours would truly make a difference if she wanted to do anything. The more she thought about it, the more a scowl appeared on her face. Ugh, their stupid morality is growing on me. Why should I care?
