Hi, Tumblr! I'm looking for some advice on gap years? I'm in year 11 (16y/o) currently in the UK and I'm considering taking a gap year between Sixth Form and University. I'm still in secondary school and don't know what my Sixth Form will think about the idea but I do want to tell them that I am considering it. There are so many reasons why I want to take a gap year but essentially:
I have projects to do; stories to write; music to play and compose— I want to unleash my creativity!
I want to learn to organise my own life
I want to experience the working world before I head to university
I want to improve my Spanish and even learn a new language
[And sooo much more]
Has anybody got any advice for a gap year? If you took a gap year then where did you start? What did you do? Thanks!

Fuck it’s actually happening
last night at home for 4 months, madness
finally got my flight confirmation and not only is it actually on the day I wanted (and means I can go to graduation) I’ve got tWo 23 kG bAGs, (I repeat TWO) as my luggage allowance because someone’s dropped out on my flight
this is the only good news I’ve had recently and it was well and truly needed
things I’m going to miss in Croatia:
my friends & family (obviously)
driving / listening to music in cars
my bath
fucking love island
rain (lol only joking fuck that)
Manchester / manny nights out (good ones)
all of the dogs :(( & my rabbit
probably the ability to lie in (although I dont have that atm at all)
watching Netflix and doing fuck all sometimes
Dad’s mushroom risotto (even though I hate mushrooms)
Singing & playing guitar/ piano
Marmite
Shopping lol
Festivals !! All of the festivals ffs
Being free from A levels and able to go out with my home friends again
