A Mango IPA for this fine Wednesday 🥰
Garage Brewing’s Tropical IPA on tap at Eureka at SDSU. A 3 of 4. Lots of tropical fruit in the nose and some nice sticky lacing. Solid body with some nice fruity sweetness and finishes relatively clean. Not exceedingly bitter, but nicely balanced.
Garage Brewing’s Hatch Chile IPA (Picked up at Bev-Mo). A 3 of 4. Smells incredibly vegetal and a little heat. Drinks with a touch of heat up front and a slight citrus quality with a ton more vegetal notes. Not exceedingly bitter in the body, and finishes clean. Obviously the heat grows a bit the more you have, but this never reaches what I’d call spicy. The vegetal quality is great, but a bit dominant and one note.
Garage Brewing Co’s Inline IPA (Picked up at Whole Foods). A 2 of 4. Very clean and almost lager-like notes in the nose. Some faint citrus in the nose, and a bit more orange qualities in the body with a dry bitterness throughout. Slightly creamy body, and finishes dry and clean. Quite subdued for an IPA out of Southern CA -- not very aggressive nor complex.
