Gonna be sending some others as I think about them. There's things worse than being dead and one of them is being the object of interest from Q, as long as you're his little funny mortal he's going to do everything with you for the sake of having a great time, it's canon that he has driven other mortals into insanity before Picard and in a twisted way this isn't even exactly evil because of the different mindset an omnipotent entity has in comparison to a mortal but certainly leads to many actions such as making one literally see everything and anything at once which leads to brain damage to a mortal's brain
The thing about Picard is, that he actually seems to see or want Picard as an equal. There is a challenge in this man and combined with Qs infatuation and expectations of him, Picard gets a special status.
Now, if he views you as nothing more than a fun toy you are screwed.
Imagine your mind being the chewing toy of the universes most curious puppy dog.
I mean, if it were any lesser human, like myself, what happened in AGT may have broken my mind more than a little bit.
Sooner or later you ask yourself the questions, of wether you are in th epast, present, future, in an alternate timeline or something entirely else you have just not understood yet.
And I think the page in the biography you are referring to almost sounded like Q enjoyed driving them mad, while he is just really proud that Picard has not been broken by him.
Also I headcanon, that to some people and species he forced into his games, he would just forget them in the worlds he created.
Like a child, that is finished with playing forgets to put their toys back.
People, humans or otherwise, who will never get to see their families, trapped in the lesson/game Q put them in. All because Q was finished playing and left.
The first few years screaming, begging and hoping that Q would return. But he never does.
Also, can you picture Picard finding out that Q played with another captain, important person/species and they end up really messed up because of it.
Because Q does in the end really care about him. But that one? Just another toy/toys he had his fun with to try out how they would react to one of his new games.
And if Picard confronted and Q told him that Picard is clearly above the likes of them and that of course Q doesn't treat his favorite, his friend, his amore the way he treats lesser beings.
Lesser beings being nearly everyone else in the universe.
