My corona garden hasn’t gone as planned this year. So many seeds and plants haven’t thrived, my composting skills were lacking, and I think I’ve had a string of poor luck. In June, I had two zucchini plants that were absolutely thriving. Then they got infested with squash bugs. They obliterated my hip-high squash bushes to little nubs that have taken daily care and trimming to get healthy again. I’ve had about 15 little zucchinis get to be the size of my pinkie this month, but then they would get blossom end rot. So when this zucchini decides to thrive against the odds, I was thrilled. I picked it today because I didn’t want to press my luck, but I wanted to try to give one of the baby squash a chance to thrive. If you see any seed like bugs on your squash leaves (like in pic 2), snip them off and check all the other leaves. I planted a few more zucchini plants in other locations of my yard outside of the garden plot. One other plant is getting the squash bugs, but the ones in my front yard are okay so far. Hoping to get some late summer harvest #zucchini #gardening #gardeningfail https://www.instagram.com/p/CENXnYMBH5d/?igshid=3bzdvu3gh50s
