Love this spot in the White Garden at Sissinghurst. It's got all the traditional elements for relaxing outside which cold be expressedin a modern idiom, if that's your preference: comfy furniture, natural materials, intimate size, overhead pergola, enclosing walls, and of course, plants. You always have to have plants. Share with a garden designer! CarexTours: http://www.carexdesign.com/tours/.

he's been tapping his fingers against the countertop for the last thirty minutes, an untouched mug of coffee now cold in front of him as the tv plays on about some unimportant news in the background. all jai can focus on is the start of the morning, the half naked stranger he'd run into on his way to take a shower, the journey they'd been making between the bathroom and lila's bedroom. one he's done more than a handful of times before. the sound of the front door finally closing does little to ease the tension in his chest, gaze pulling up as familiar footsteps come to a stop at the entrance to the kitchen. be nice, he does his best to remind himself. still, all he can do his stare at his roommate, a brow raising in her direction as the weight of tension settles between them. “ why was there a shirtless man in my hallway? ” it's not quite how he means to break the silence, though the question falls from his lips before jai can consider how little he wants the answer.

anchors lithe frame against the heavy oak of the pew as the sight of him by the altar carves a ghost of a future that felt belong to them in another lifetime. air in the chapel is thick with the residue of their shared history, a cycle of breaking and mending that left them both with skin like glass and blood like ice. watches the light hit the structure of his shoulders, feeling the cruel friction of a life that keeps teasing her with what she can never keep. pulse is a frantic thrumming against the bone of her chest, a familiar rhythm that she refuses to name as love, even as the gravity of his presence pulls the air right out of her lungs.
forces a thin, brittle smile to mask the sudden ache that sits like a stone in the back of her throat. “ sorry i was late. i thought for sure this will be cancelled when the missis told me she had other appointment, ” voice low that it barely covers the edged memory of their last goodbye. lets her gaze linger on him, surprised by the weight of a man who never wanted to be involved in the mundane process of a life together. fingers twitch against her side as if reaching for a touch she already buried. “ i didnt expect her husband to be sent over. usually husbands dont want to involve in this process. are introductions still required? ”

there’s a slow, exaggerated roll of koa’s eyes as calvin cleans the cut on his cheek, his face still stained with blood from the hockey match. it feels like they always end up like this - - koa restless in the of adrenaline of a win ( or more rarely, a loss ), and calvin steady, careful, and gentle with his touch. they’ve fallen so seamlessly into this routine that koa almost looks forward to his injuries because it means he can see calvin. “i swear, there’s more to hockey than fighting,” he hums, gaze lingering on calvin ( and heart stuttering over how close they are ) “why don’t you come watch next time?” he tests the waters, eyes not leaving the other as a smile curves onto his lips, “i’ve got a ticket with your name on it…and i’d love to see you wearing my jersey.” maybe it was too much, but koa had to try.
