It always had a release date of October 27th on Amazon UK, but the November 4th stuff confused me so I really had no idea when to expect it!

I've actually debated that internally -- for when I was plotting out Rubik's Cube -- but Sorkin actually retconned what the ring looked like between 1.06 and 2.09. The ring in 1.06 is this ring at probably 4 karats, which does cost $88,000. The ring in 2.09, however, is something more similar to this ring, at what an extra on-set confirmed to be 5 karats. So I'm sure both Will and Mac knew the price, just because Mac is anal-retentive about those sorts of things... so I tend to trust her judgement that it was close to $250,000.

(Also Sorkin doesn't pay attention to certain things -- for instance, Will's phone changes from a Blackberry to an iPhone to a Blackberry to an iPhone... sometimes in the same episode... )
