Not for one book! Holy shit it'd have to be bound with gold thread. But stilllll ... I kind of forgot uni was going back so I didn't hunt around for them secondhand and now I don't have time to faff about organizing to buy them ... guess I'll just try to sell them on next semester?

I literally just ranted to my office about this today and about why pirated textbooks are the key to the advancement of our society. They looked at me like I was crazy, but I was so adamant omg.

You are right on: in med school there was a usb that people just passed around with about 50 pdf text books on it. street value > $1000 easy. and THAT'S why we were pirating them. 

I didn't have time to trawl through and try to find mine for this semester online though :( (and to add insult to injury, one of them was THE LECTURER'S OWN BOOK.)

also it tends to be harder to find australian editions of things which is really annoying when the textbook is prescribed.

have you done the rice thing yet? I dropped my phone in the bath once and leaving it in a container of dry rice overnight fixed it :)
