Bayan Angura is not one to seduce or pursue or show interest *at all* he just respects Qestir a lot and he'd show that by dumping a freshly-hunted goat on Altan. 'Cause that's how you demonstrate that you're Friendly: with food. ... Except usually the food is prepared and cooked. And not dropped on the recipient. Well, shit.

Okay, but consider the following:

Altan is zero-percent bothered by this.

In fact, he loves it. What’s better than food to make a hungry Xaela’s day? He prefers it if it’s brought to him uncooked, quite honestly; this way, he can make a bonding experience out of preparing it with the person who delivered it, making fireside ‘conversation’ as it’s cooking, potentially learning new techniques / spice blends from them and, when it’s done, sharing a hot meal with that person as a gesture of gratitude.

All in all, a spectacular way to initiate a friendship! Drop the dead goat directly onto him; the lizard is entirely on board. How does Bayan feel about honey-basting?

They all meant nothing.

He hopped from bed to bed, woman to woman, bottle to bottle in a blind attempt to forget. Sometimes it worked. Sometimes all he could think about was moonlight hair and scintillating eyes with a fire inside.

He would have done anything for her. Matter of fact, he’d have thrown himself into her fire willingly. He’d die for her, kill for her - but either way, what bliss. So long as he could kiss her again, run his fingers through her hair, hear her say his name.

Loneliness was torment.

Favorite way to receive affection?

Ruhka has... NO GOD DAMN IDEA how to receive affection.

Quite honestly he might have a mental breakdown if someone’s just straightforward about liking him. He has very much always been the one taking care of others, and he views anyone being overly nice to him as someone trying to get something from him. Which he’s usually pretty amenable to helping people regardless, so he doesn’t understand why they’d want to butter him up for something he was already willing to hand over.

The only way someone’s going to be able to chip that wall down is to be patient and subtle, at least to a point. Touch is genuinely the fastest way to get him soften, much the same way he shows it. Head pats, lingering touches. If you wanna turn him BRIGHT RED, pulling him close (or on a lap) or hand kisses.

Just don’t touch his tail unless you wanna start something. Depending on who’s doing it and his mood, it could go one of two very different ways. But it’s still a bit of a coin toss.

I dunno if Corinne is loud about their relationship, but she’s certainly proud of it. I wouldn’t exactly say that she’s private either considering she stands around looking at Miah with big ol’ hearts in her eyes half the time. The other half of the time she’s attached to his hip SOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo

Miahtoux on the other hand is very private about it. It’s just the way he is. He wont actively hide it, but he doesn’t shout about it. Just because he’s still getting used to the idea himself! He certainly isn’t shy in proclaiming exactly how far he’d go for her though. Not to anyone.

How does Frost react to and handle stress?

A better question might be how he handles -not- having stress, since stress is a big part of the story of his life.  Frost is frequently tense and aggressive, and the more stress he’s under, the more likely it is that someone is going to get hurt. Or disappear. He gets hangry.

First impression

As per a lot of my early (especially ARR) first-impressions, things were really influenced by how I was imagining Ahru to be experiencing and thinking about things around her. Arenvald, A’aba and Aulie were three of her best friends in the earliest days with the Scions, so from that early point Arenvald was pretty much designated a son, a cinnamon roll to be protected at all costs, if you will. Of course, things went the way they did in ARR, with A’aba and Aulie killed during the attack on the Waking Sands, and Arenvald one of the few survivors, which only made him all the more dear to both Ahru and myself. 

Impression now

I had so many hopes that one day he’d come back into the story and have some -any- relevance, and lemme say, that was one of the early and most beloved surprised SB had for me. Seeing him step up and taking on these duties, fighting for his homeland despite his past… I’m so proud of him and I just wanna see him grow and thrive and stay safe. 

Favorite moment

Him reaching out to Fordola was a really interesting one that stands out in my mind. Unfortunately it was relegated to one of the short stories rather than anything we saw in-game, but I love that the two of them are out there taking down primals and really, really hope we actually see more of that in-game one day.

Idea for a story

Really I’d love just… More of him and Fordola’s adventures. 

Unpopular opinion

(At this point my unpopular opinion section is just ‘random thought/opinions’) Listen I know what I’ve said before about liking different characters and all but if you don’t love and cherish and want to protect him you’re wrong. (I’m joking. ….barely.)

Favorite relationship

Learning that him and Alphinaud were friends is a GIFT and I’d LOVE to see more of that, as well as whatever comes of his and Fordola’s relationship.

Favorite headcanon

I don’t really have any apart from him and Ahru being pretty tight, but my head swims at the idea of how many silly shenanigans him and Alphy could get into. Also I’m just intrigued by their relationship and where it might go in the most basic platonic sense, but I could, in theory, totally ship him and Fordola down the line. :|a

Of all the openings for someone to hand Luke, the shared personhood was not the first way he thought about broaching the space between unknowns.  Maybe he could learn a few things from the young Garlean about striding new waters, opening new avenues of topics, and making allies.

“Yes.  I think we can!”

And maybe, just maybe, it wasn’t quite right.  Staring at Aurelia, Luke was reminded that he’d had a few other moments of meeting the young woman before her reassignment, one of which was the collective talk about Germanicus.

“So...”

Silence stretched.

“....family well?  Since we’re both persons, that’s what persons do, right?”

Aurelia looked at Luke as if the older man had grown two heads, or possibly was slightly on fire.  “....I thought you’d be better at this.”

A shrug, and a sigh of defeat.  “Look.”

Aurelia watched him with a growing skepticism. “At what?”

“...I have no idea, at this point.”

Somewhere a clock chimed.  They looked at each other, the empty room mocking their lacking ability to make small talk.  

“....did we try the weather?”

“If you try to talk about the weather, I will tell you about the cobblestones in the market.  They’re just as fascinating.”

It was a long bell.

Minor, but the Green party ranks further left than the NDP. Green party in PEI got enough momentum to leave the PCs with a minority instead of a majority where they can do more damage. I will likely be voting NDP because they have the power to do far more good (as much as I love Elizabeth May, her party doesn't have enough of a following, asks) at the federal level. Fearmongering fucked Ontario, don't let it fuck the rest of the country, too.

Also the B.C. Greens opposes the BC NDP’s efforts to make joining a union easier.

The PEI Greens have said they’re Fiscally Conservative, so they’ll likely prop up the Progressive Conservative PEI party.

But Bevan-Baker recalled how in 2015 there were many who believed he couldn’t win his own seat. Instead, he ended up with one of the biggest margins of victory on election night.

Since then, he has tried to steer the party toward the electoral middle, fiscally conservative while socially progressive, while trying to dispel the notion the Greens are a single-issue party focused on the environment.
