DoctaDee - The World (Music Video Collab) [Post-release]

After a lot of pre-promotion through social media and release day promotion we're getting quite a nice response from the internet community. This event marked the first time we've generated so much traffic through our Facebook page!

Today is also the release of DoctaDee's EP, 'Crown Turned To Joy', often seen as '#CTTJ'.

Set Pictures 

It's absolutely exciting yet stressful working on music videos productions and even productions in general. Always have to be ready for what's coming and it usually ninja its way into your set. Planning, careful execution, adaptation and creativity are but some of the key things you can have to carry you through. 

What's Next?

Coming up next will be some funny, cool and probably embarrassing footage of behind the scenes action. That will all be posted on our youtube channel.

DoctaDee - The World (Music Video Collab) [Pre-release post]

The World music video was a moderately length project discussed with FrosTMedia Digital from development in February/March to post completion in June.

After narrowing down from 3 distinct storyboards, location scouting was our next step. Within the city we set out to film in, along with barely any knowledge about where to find things & places, it was almost a ground up scouting mission. Using human resources to identify our key locations made it almost a breeze to locate. Initially set to be over 2 maybe 3 days filming quickly became one day to get it all. The new issue then became how to utilise our far spread locations! The goal later became how to localise everything and adapt our story so we get more time to film!

It being the peak of summer also meant much longer days. Ideally something you want during day periods of shooting, but we wanted both day and night. So during our downtime, we did some extra shots and BTS video!

Post Production

This was a breeze. Creatively, there were 2 end products to be refined in post. Ultimately for the official version, version 2 was the way forward. Between the lucky few who were able to preview before release, also felt very pleased about that choice.

Few more days left before release date and we're looking forward to it! Still have a handful of promotion to go but it's definitely worth getting out there to be seen. Pics and other content to be released closer and after release.

Another exciting part of the project is it's airing on the UK's SubTV music channel. Definitely something to look out for!
