yea yea ik garvez is stuck in this weird never-ending loop for a lot of fans. ik ppl have lost hope since tyler was introduced. what sells me on it still having a chance is the fact that luke (obviously) still has feelings for penelope. it’s been years and he’s still hung up on her. ik ppl wanted it straight out the gate, but sometimes tv shows love to be messy. i’m excited to keep watching.

I believe that luke absolutely confided in emily about liking garcia bc she is clearly the best at keeping secrets (duh) and so we have this

she obviously told him the best way to get on her good side was to get her coffee from her favorite coffee truck. he literally went out of his way to stop there to get coffee. but played it cool by getting everyone coffee (he’s just a gentleman)

again what a good boyfriend

and that he had been thinking about asking her out for a while

literally two seconds before, Garcia is like “i’m forgetting nothing NEWBIE” emily’s response? see above.

how funny. he does say “he seems like a pretty alright kid” (although he says kid instead of guy, so i’m not sure ifs he secretly being super protective (or maybe its just a dad!morgan thing?) IDK.)

but really examples of where emily does nothing as unit chief:

12x07 Garcia: I thought you were my friends but you all suck, especially you new guy, but then you always suck. Emily: *crickets*

12x08 Garcia: i’m forgetting nothing newbie.  Emily: *crickets*

12x22 Garica: do you...do you see what I have to put up with? emily: *crickets*

14x09 Luke: Looks like we’re gonna be lab partners Garcia: Ugh Bleh ugh, whatever, if I must. Emily: *crickets*

but ya know, it all works out in the end, so gold star emily for not interrupting.
