Congrats to kahyou and what I can only assume is her 10 year plan to get garyou out of ninja jail without anyone noticing. Garyou's obvious privilage being an open secret at the prison, and no one being allowed to mention how he gets the best quality food and stupid luxary items like pen and paper and a slightly concerning amount of visitors. Kahyou keeping her wits about her and organizing the continuation of Garyou's cause from the caves under hozuki castle. given kahyou's shown attempt at a moral compass, I don't thinks she would actually hate running the prison for the people she thinks 'deserve' it. She'd LOVE being able to distinguish herself from the mindless obviously much worse domestic terrorists and murderers. So I don't think they'd recruit EVERYONE but like….yeah. a solid probably 2/3 of the prison are people arrested for silly stuff like 'blowing up governement officials you don't like' and are allowed to join the cause. akatsuki 2.0 forming right under kakashi's nose. and he's letting it because he's in the very bad habit of raising horrible people on a moral pedastal because he can't reconcile the complexities of human morality. he's always been too black and white a thinker for all this goddamn grey.
