Heute beschreiben wir kurz den Einbau zweier Truma Gasfilter vor unsere Truma DuoControl CS, der sich recht unkompliziert gestaltete. Der Gaskasten des ML-T 580 4×4 stellte sich als ausreichend groß heraus. Today we briefly describe the installation of a pair of Truma gas filters to our our Truma DuoControl CS, which turned out to be quite straightforward. The gas bottle compartment of the ML-T 580 4×4 is fortunately big enough to host the filters in conjunction with the tank cylinders.

Wie schon zuvor erwähnt, nutzen wir unser Wohmobil auch in der kalten Jahreszeit intensiv und haben entsprechend einen recht hohen Durchsatz an Flüssiggas. Nach der Anschaffung von Hexagon Rasgasco “Safefill” Gastankflaschen entschieden wir uns nach Diskussionen mit Experten daher auch für die Installation von Gasfiltern. Diese sollen das Risiko der Beschädigung von Komponenten der Gasanlage und Verbraucher durch im Gas mitgeführte Verunreinigungen, insbesondere Öl, verringern. Passend zur Truma Duo Control CS erwarben wir den Zweiersatz der Truma Gasfilter, aktuell im Handel zu Preisen zwischen Eur 70 und 80 plus Versand erhältlich sind. As we mentioned earlier, we also utilize our camper intensively during the cold seasons and accordingly have a quite significant consumption of LPG. After investing into our Hexagon Rasgasco “Safefill” LPG tank cylinders , we decided to also go for gas filters. These are supposed to reduce the risk for damages to gas system and gas consuming components by contamination of the gas, specifically oil. Given our Truma DuoControl CS, we bought the fitting pair of Truma gas filters, which currently costs between Eur 70 and 80 (plus shipping).

Nach dem Entfernen der Tankflaschen ließen sich die Filter einfach zwischen den beiden Anschlüssen der Duo Control CS und den Hochdruckschläuchen einsetzen. Danach wurden die beiden Tankflaschen wieder über Kreuz angeschlossen. Die Bilder unten illustrieren den Einbau, ein Klick auf die Bilder vergrößert diese. After removing the tank cylinders, it was easy to install the filters beween the connectors of the DuoControl CS and the high pressure hoses. After that, the tank cylinders were reconnected. The photos below illustrate the installation, a click on the photos enlarges them.

Abschliessend führt man noch den üblichen Lecktest mit dem Lecksuchspray durch. Finally, we did a leak check using a regular leak spray.

Wir werden nun regelmäßig die Filtertassen und Filtereinsätze auf Verunreinigungen überprüfen und von unseren Beobachtungen berichten! We are going to check the filters on a regular basis for stain and report on our findings!
