(#spon!) I recently got this lovely lovely backpack from Gaston Luga & have been using it as my professional bag for just about a month!! This is my review- I’m currently away without my bag (tragic), but as I keep using it for work and school, I’ll be making a few more posts over the course of the next month or so showing it in action.

To be completely transparent, I was gifted the bag in exchange for a couple of posts and this isn’t paid, so it’s an entirely honest review based on use.

Anyways- my thoughts!! The pros of this bag are considerable:

It looks absolutely gorgeous! I’ve been using it as my work bag this summer because it’s way more professional and classy than the average backpack. The clip clasps on the front are to die for and I’m a huge fan of the all black but multi-texture look.

It’s much bigger than I expected. I normally carry a 14″ computer along with my lunch, a waterbottle, chargers, and all my books and pens and they fit with plenty of room to spare!

Despite not having padded straps, it’s super comfy. The straps are really durable and the bag itself sits really well on my back!

There’s so much attention to detail. I’m not just talking about things like having a laptop pocket, but there’s feet on the bottom of the bag to keep it from touching the ground, and a D-ring on the side to clip things like a waterbottle to. There’s also an adorable Swedish flag at the bottom!

Of course, it’s not quite perfect, but I think potential downsides depend a lot on how you’re likely to use a backpack.

Unfortunately there’s no zip pocket inside to keep things separate. This was irritating at first, but I found it pretty easy to solve by carrying a pouch with me where I can keep my lip balm, bobbles, and all that jazz. 

While it’s quite sizeable for a work or school bag, I think it would be difficult to travel with on its own. It’s not large enough for me to keep more than one textbook if I have a computer in there so I probably couldn’t squeeze clothes or toiletries in! It makes a great personal item, but can’t quite take the place of a carry-on overall.
