Artists From The London Comic Con
Like I mentioned in a previous post I recently attended the London Comic Con; whilst it did put my work on hold for a little while the experience was fantastic and I met a load of really great and friendly artists (in addition to collecting a monumental amount of business cards too^^) I’ll be posting links to the respective websites of many of the artists I met there so that any of the very small number of people that actually follow me can check them out :D
Gastonne, weird and wonderful art that has a bit of a focus on being mildly gruesome and a little uncanny valley.

Destiny Blue, the artwork that they produce is often light hearted with a mildly dark twist, their art is computer based and utilizes and insane and wonderful amount of vibrant color.

Grant Perkins, Grant’s art is a little weird as its almost like and odd fusion of traditional comic artstyles and the artstyle of Adventure time, very evocative and has a lot of cool character designs.

Toqareign, very nice and lighthearted artwork, often illustrates video game characters, once again very evocative with a lot of interesting use of color.

Elena Vitagliano, Very nice and crisp linework, quite colorful work but often with a slightly more restricted color pallete than the artists I’ve already mentioned. Some of her work is also very varied too and uses a lot of differen media.

Lee Townsend, amazing comic artist, not really much more to say really crisp dynamic linwork and amazing use of tone.

Vapvla, a very, very, odd but very, very good artist that usually focuses on drawing provocative stuff and demons. They also design and create leather outfits as well.

Subversive comics, saw them there advertising one of their comic series; metal made flesh. They prodcue some really nice digital artwork with some great character designs and, at least in the instance of Metal made Flesh use very restrictive color pallets.
