#Repost @hops_and_charlie ・・・ I stay reppin USVI 🇻🇮 While my moms family is from literally ✨ALL✨ over the Caribbean (Trinidad, Dominica, Barbados, etc.) she was born and raised on St. Croix, USVI and I was lucky enough to be raised with the culture. As soon as I saw this can from @abitabeer , I knew I needed to save it for the next time I got to do my favorite festival, Carnival! 🦚 Jockamo, is DDH Juicy IPA and I just loved it. While Jockamo is more for Marco Gras, the parades, music, and feathers is definitely shared among the cultures! ABV: 6% . . . #Repost @hops_and_charlie ・・・ Sometimes celebrating the coming of the new year looks like glitter eye shadow and my favorite heels. This year, it looks like disco lights in the living room, the best snacks, a cozy robe and a great beer🍾🎉 I’m ringing in the new year with @pomonaislandbrew UVAVU, a Black Sour IPA with raspberry, vanilla, and cacao. Raspberry and cacao hit the nose right away, and it has a pleasant chocolatey end, despite my dislike towards fruit and chocolate blends. Such a yummy way to bring in 2021! . . . This year has brought its challenges for all of us, but damn did I see how amazing life could be when people come together. From All Together (started by @otherhalfnyc ) to support service industry workers who lost their places of work due to COVID, to Black is Beautiful (@weatheredsoulsbrewing @weatheredsoulsbrewing_marcus ) which made its way to over 1,000 breweries and 22 countries, and earned thousands of dollars to go toward those that face injustice because of the color of their skin. I got to see people connect any way they could. We got more creative on date nights, birthdays, and game nights.
