I received a wondrous package in the mail the other day.  These beautiful stamps I purchased from the one and only gataro complete with a little drawing of Smaug on the envelope.  I'm sure I'll eventually go back and buy the Dwalin and Bombur one's but these will tide me over for a bit.

To be honest, these stamps are the main reason I'm drawing a posting as much art as I do.  I saw gataro's art here on Tumblr a while back and realized not only how much I also wanted to draw these wonderful characters, but also how much I wanted to improve my abilities as an artist.  I'd been in a bit of a rut for quite a while and wasn't drawing much, and these stamps were so amazing and inspiring that I started to sit down and draw. So here I am 10 months and hundreds of drawings later feeling a little more confident every day...but still very much in awe of the skill it took to make these stamps.
