Oooh. In the lore I made with friends, Viktor previously piloted with Sky who tragically died in battle. I think Viktor, who was extremely traumatised by this in the following years, chased the rabbit and fell into the memory spiral. Jayce forcibly disengages himself, taking Viktor's helmet off and pulling him out of the drift.

That is, after they both discovered they pine for one another. Viktor is thoroughly embarassed after years of not piloting a Jaeger to require a forced disengage, and on top of that needs to admit that yes, he's been pining for Jayce since their high school chemistry presentation when they were 14.

They have a looooonnng conversation after their first drift. Lots of tears and comfort.

Pacific Rim, my all time favorite movie. A love letter to kaiju and mecha media.

Uprising... well...

Anyway, like with the first film, marketing and on-screen depictions of its colossal combatants disagree on just how big they are.

For example, marketing and tie-in media state that Gipsy Danger is 260ft (79.3m) tall and Knifehead is 315ft (96m), yet, in the first film, both combatants are almost exactly the same height.

In additon, during the Tokyo battle near the end of the film, the Jaegers, when compared to say, the 40ft lampposts appear to be a larger size than their marketing

Other sources say that Gipsy is 288ft (87.8m) tall, assuming this means the top of its head, this would make Gipsy Danger almost exactly 300ft (91.4m) tall.

Using this scaling and applying it to the other Jaegers and Kaiju allows this size chart to be the most accurate it can be in relation to the Jaegers and Kaijus true, on-screen size.

As to why Hakuja is a PNG, I could not, for the life of me find an obtainable model of any sort

That little indie RPG I did... 50 or so illustrations for over 2023 and 2024 is now available over at DriveThruRPG.

The plans for a physical print version got foiled by tariff-man, but maybe that will go ahead in a happier future. In the meanwhile, the PDF+printable characater sheets are quite good too!

I dislike Uprising to my deepest core, but since fullscale invasion I am softly, gently, affectionately attached to the (out of character) concept of nihilistic Newt that emraces aliens in his brain and goes on the willing rampage of the disgusting world. Also "Centaurworld" rules.
