Week Two Wrap-Up
This week started off with a big change. Employees are renovating The War Room this week, so Beth reassigned us to three desks in her department. As a result, we felt like full-time employees. We could wheel around in our desk chairs, look out at the South Side––the only downside to The War Room is it’s windowless––and interact with people shuffling between projects. It’s hectic at times, but what we learned is how to get work done under the pressure of an agency.
(Note: The War Room is looking awesome so far. We can’t wait to show you when it’s done. We’ll have a before/after post and everything.)
We also got deeper into our projects. Outside of maintaining our social media channels, Chelsea added motion graphics to a networking presentation, Andrew wrote social media ad copy, and Erinne drafted social media content. The more we work at Gatesman+Dave, the more integrated we feel.
This week’s theme was account management. We met with Beth and Aleya, both account people, but for different facets of the agency. Beth works primarily in PR/social media, whereas Aleya deals with more traditional channels. We learned a lot about managing workflow and got to see how each of them kept track of all their work.
On Monday, Beth is going to show the agency a video we made to introduce ourselves to the entire team, so we’ll be sure to post it here and let you know how it goes. Have a great weekend, everyone.
