Shit I’ve Said While Drunk -- gatheredchaos

“Oh right, I said that didn’t I?” Zane @ Amara over some bull I bet lol

   “ -- yes, and I’m absolutely waiting for you to prove it. ”

A hand lands on his shoulder, giving it a squeeze, before she’s already unwrapping the boxing tape on her hands and leaning back against the table he’s sitting at. She knew he was out here, could hear his half-hungover mumbling, and she was willing to cut her training session short just so she could talk about ... well, the stuff he was talking about last night. 

She knew he was speaking out of his ass from the start. He was drunk, after all. But was he serious? Was it his drunk state or just his dumbass energy speaking? Who knew. But the Siren knew he was lying and she wanted to catch him in the act.

That fact alone is why she’s sipping at her water bottle, smirking -- almost playful -- and tilting her head.

“ Are you all talk, Flynt? Or can you prove anything you said last night? ”

Without warning, in the split of a second she slams on the brakes ━ car screeching to a halt, and without missing a beat Tulip yanks the keys from the ignition. “Alright I’m done.” Agitated breath comes out and she leans back in the seat, rolling her shoulders to regain composure. “Your anxiety is giving ME anxiety, we have been driving in dead silence for almost an hour, a record for your blabbering ass, and you haven’t told me a damn thing, Cassidy.” Finally she turns, brown eyes staring him down sternly. “Who are those people, WHY are they after you and for Christ’s sake STOP giving me the silent treatment or I’m ━ I’m gonna’ toss your pale ass out into the sunlight and whoever those fuckers are won’t have the chance to do whatever the Hell it is they’re planning on doing with you.”

          rhys has hit his head numerous times since she’s known him - probably even more before then - but that still doesn’t stop her from keeping her eye on him. the last thing she needs is for him to DIE on her.

          “ hey, hey- ”

          she reaches forward, hand popping lightly - or light by her standards, at least - against one of his cheeks.

          “ no sleeping, you hear me? ” before he can answer, she’s reaching for his arm. “ c’mon, lets get you up before a skag decides to make you it’s dinner. ”

          throwing his gangly arm around her shoulder, she starts moving, pulling him along. it’s almost comical given their height difference, but it doesn’t matter. she’s gotta save his ass again, no matter how ridiculous she might look doing it.

          as they walk, she peers up at him out of the corner of her eye and gives him a nudge.

          “ you better not even think about falling asleep on me. ”

     he’s silent for a moment, glancing between rafe and the suit he had chosen to wear. the pure white was not only a bit of a ridiculous flex ( everyone gets it, rafe, you can eat shrimp cocktail without spilling any marinara, good for you ), but flashy in one of the worst ways . . . it was memorable.

          “  y’know, a cheap jacket from target is like thirty bucks.

                     you don’t have to show us all up, mr. fashion show.  ”

Injury / hurt prompts – @gatheredchaos​

[ bullet ] for one muse to help the other after they get shot Zane for Amara

   Amara ... has a bit too much pride when it comes things like this.. Being taken care of, or medically looked after, wasn’t something the Siren was really used too. Too many fights , too many battles, where she did her own patching up -- having teammates was still a strange thing to her.

Especially now, watching Zane work on the bullet wounds on her hip, an intense focus on the man’s features. She has no doubt he’s used to battle wounds -- all of them had that in common -- but watching him work like this ... it was strangely nice.  Maybe she just appreciates how his hands work.

“ -- I told you I’m alright , mitr. I can handle patching my own wounds. ”

The Siren carefully adjusts her position, leaning her weight on the arm keeping her propped up sitting. The wounded side is a bit exposed and, while she knows she can trust him with this, she still feels like a wounded feral cat. She should be licking at her wounds alone. 

She won’t be the first person to call herself a hypocrite, though. If any of her team needed patching, she wouldn’t mind being the first to help out.

“ You didn’t have to do this. ”

But she does appreciate it. Feels nice to depend on people again. And the view isn’t so bad.

“  how the hell'd this happen?  ” - August for Fiona

   The ex-con artist is quick to try to cover up the wound, clearing her throat softly as a way to try to distract him. It’s not going to work -- she already knows that -- but she can at least try to cover up the fact she’s moving a hand over the cut in question. It’s just a cut from the fight ... nothing to worry about. She can handle herself and she doesn’t need him breathing down her neck about it. 

He’s not actually concerned ... so she doesn’t need him bitching to her about it. The only people who’re allowed to bitch to her about his stupid decisions? Her sister -- his ex -- and Felix. Vaughn got a pass most of the time.

“ -- how the hell what? What are you talking about? There’s nothing wrong, August. ”

For a woman so good with her words, she’s already wanting to run out that door before he can question her. That was a terrible cover-up ... someone kill her now before he starts bitching more. 

“ It’s all good. Hey, what’d that guy drop over there. ”

Wow ... nailed it.
