Gatsi: Hello, Inquisitor. Honored to help with these… whatever they are.

First time speaking Gatsi: Honored, Inquisitor. Gatsi Sturhald. Did my part on the walls, and now I’m on this… strange collection you’ve brought us. Don’t know its worth to the fight, exactly, but it’s good workmanship.

Spoken before Gatsi: Stone-met, Inquisitor

1 - Dialogue options:

General: What are these tiles? [2]

General: What’s your experience? [3]

General: Can you interpret the meaning? [4]

2 - General: What are these tiles? PC: Any ideas about the origins of these reliefs? Gatsi: Tevinter. Early. It’s in the tool marks, the grain. That’s hard dust mined from the Hundred Pillars if I know anything. Oh, I suppose the scene is probably full of Tevinter robes, too. PC: The Hundred Pillars? Gatsi: Damnedest things. Massive spires that aren’t stone. It’s like a mortar. Don’t know more than that. Strong, though. [back to 1]

3 - General: What’s your experience? PC: Where did you learn your skills? Gatsi: Orzammar. Carved a few statues in my day.

Gatsi (dwarf PC): You know Paragon Branka? Carved her. And when she turned out sodding mad, I left. Gatsi (non-dwarf PC): And before you ask, yes, I chose to leave. I carved a Paragon who turned out to be a sodding madwoman.

Gatsi: Couldn’t stand looking at it. The “memory of a dwarf,” right? [back to 1]

4 - General: Can you interpret the meaning? PC: Do you have insight into the stories these tiles are supposed to depict?

Unfinished mosaics Gatsi: Tell you what: you finish one, and I’ll write it up. Who better, right? A good dwarven perspective. [back to 1]

As the PC collects pieces

Gatsi: Another one, huh? Getting big.

Gatsi: Another piece, another picture. Nice work, whoever did it.

Gatsi: Where do you find these things? Like that's the weird part.

Gatsi: Fine collection. Shame it's not done.

Gatsi: Nice work, hmm? Or it will be.

As the PC completes the mosaics

Gatsi: Complete. Well, how about that?

Gatsi: Another completed work of… whatever they used to call them.

Gatsi: You find the strangest things, Inquisitor. Interesting all together, though.

Gatsi: You've gathered quite the collection. Wonder how many are in "the set."

Gatsi: That's the lot. Strange bit of kit for a fortress, but no one else has them. That's for sure.

Gatsi Sturhald, Master Stonemason

Gatsi was trained as a stonemason in Orzammar, where he carved the statue of Paragon Branka. After Branka’s down fall, he left the thaig, as he was no longer able to bear the sight of the statue. He arrived in Skyhold to aid the Inquisition in construction matters and evaluate the structural integrity of existing buildings.

She LANDED in the seat with the force of someone who didn’t have time to second-guess her own life choices, which, frankly, had already led her to worse men in faster cars.“ @gatsi ,” she hissed, slamming the door behind her as the sound of pounding footsteps echoed behind. “You look like you just stepped out of a garden party and into my 'little' criminal conspiracy. What in God’s name possessed you to actually show up?” Her head turned in all matter od directions as she felt the car seemingly purr beneath them... Too shiny. Too clean. Too... him.

“Tell me this thing moves, or I swear to every deity that’s ever witnessed a heist,”The engine seemed to growl in response, finally catching her rhythm. She sank lower in the seat, eyes narrowed on the road ahead. Heart still pounding a language only criminals like her knew too well. “I HAD backup. I had plans. YOU weren’t one of them,” she said, not angry but rather with a voice stitched together with frayed nerves and reluctant amusement. “I mean you? In this ABSURD machine?” She gestured to the dashboard that gleamed like a jeweled altar…stopping her ‘tirade’ for a moment as the wind stole her words, flinging them into the rearview where law and order tried to keep pace.

“And here I thought I was the dramatic one,” she muttered, brushing a strand of hair from her cheek, smearing ash with the back of her gloved hand. Her lips curved—not quite a smile, not yet. “Only you would bring a getaway car that sparkles like a debutante at her CURSED first ball.” She turned to him now, fully, with a smirk.“Next time, take me to the races…Not make me one, me entiendes? ”
