With school being out for the summer, Gwen found herself spending more and more time out with her daughter, Beatrice, at the park. Well, they were usually at the park or the beach. The park had more shade, so it was an easier choice between the two.
She was reaching down through the diaper bag for a bag of Cheerios when she heard the all familiar screeching sound of her daughter's laughter. Gwen looked up and was greeted with the sight of her daughter walking through the pebbles with a toy dinosaur in her hand (that wasn't hers, of course).
The only other child in the park this early in the morning had moved on from their pile of toys and into the jungle gym. She easily picked up the baby and walked over to who she assumed was the boy's father. "You're missing a dino from your stack, I think." She started out as Beatrice waved it in the air. "She's very much in her hoarding dragon stage."
