Since these are essentially air, it doesn’t matter how many meringues you eat in one sitting, right?
After about three hours* of waiting for the sugar to dissolve, Chick prepped her piping bag and started piping meringues.
*exaggeration, but it felt like that
After this past week’s episode of The Great British Baking show (in which they made pavlovas, yum!), Chick had an itch to whip some eggs. Rather than go all out for a pavlova, she decided a nice, simple, four-ingredient meringue would satisfy. Now, if she can only find the whisk attachment for her stand mixer…
Lest anyone be concerned about this little green chicken using eggs instead of aquafaba or similar, rest in the knowledge that they are unfertilized.
Baking tips to destress yourself
So I have got my A-Levels this month and I've discovered that one of the ways to stop myself stressing when I'm not doing exams or revising is to keep myself busy with baking. I revised for two hours this morning and then decided to bake cupcakes and then make a strawberry sorbet 🍓 Honestly it's one of the best ways to calm yourself down especially if you're like me and prefer to take on a challenge methodically and break it down. I never bake anything challenging just things I know and it really helps me out.
