Is it bad that I'm really apprehensive about Dead Man's Chest/Skeleton Crew? I'm worried that it won't do the characters justice, but I hope to be proven wrong.

That's fair enough, I suppose, given that one of the key authors is the same as 'Back In Town', if you weren't keen on that one. My main issue with those 3 volumes was probably more the constraints of being set between AL & FE and a lot of the stories (at least as it pertained to character stuggles and not The Ghosts), therefore feeling faintly generic and shallow in the interest of not spoiling FE or straying insofar as making that film's canon unbelievable or such. I'm hoping that being a direct sequel, without much in the way of a new movie will give them some more jurisdiction to do as they'd like or bulk out the interpersonal side (as much as they can with a comic format). Though I suppose GBs has never been known for its super insightful character tales lol.
