Beautiful Disaster by Jamie Mcguire

It's been a while since my first post. Was not able to write another review because I'm too busy with school stuff. But anyways, I chose this book for now because I was able to relate to it when my boyfriend did something for me. Cheesy! Won't mention what it is since it's going to spoil you guys! :) So this book is about a college girl named Abby Abernathy and college guy Travis Maddox. Abby transferred in the same school where Travis is since she wanted to get away from home due to personal problems. She is just a simple girl and wanted a peaceful life away from her past. On the other hand, Travis is a dangerous-type guy who is known to be the campus' heartthrob and a one-night stand-"er". The two of them crossed paths on one of Travis' underground fights (since it is what he does for living and paying off his apartment) and from there, Abby never left Travis' mind. They started to grow close because of a bet made by Travis that if he loses, he will abstain for a month (on sexual activities) and if he loses, Abby will stay in his apartment for a month. **SOME SPOILERS HERE** Obviously, Abby lose and this is where everything starts. All their bondings as "friends" and the mutual understanding and care they have for each other led into good and bad things. This story is really cute and at the same time intense for me as it revolves on how a one-night stander turn into a loyal type of guy. It was also a bit annoying or let me say "something that wouldn't make you want to stop" since they were never certain with how they feel for each other. They've always been trying to deny it, especially Abby, because of her past. But eventually, they will still find their way to each other. Their love affair is really a beautiful disaster. The twist is that, Travis did not simply change the moment he met Abby. There were stages and challenges for the both of them before they made it. :) This is one of my favourite! So you guys should read it! I'm recommending this to those who are fond of love and romance :)

Undomestic Goddess

Because of what the book that I've recently read entitled "Taking Chances" (will post about this soon), I was inspired to blog about all the books that I've been reading. I wanted to start this blog with the first book I've read for leisure and not for any academic purposes. Undomestic Goddess is written by Sophie Kinsella, one of the authors I adore. She writes books perfect for young adult, with a gist of love, romance, and humor. Also, her stories are just light, good for times that you want to have fun or at least get your mind out of something. Now let me say something about this book. It is about a workaholic, ambitious lawyer who has never failed on anything. She loves to work but also at the same time pressured under her mother who expects so much on her capabilities and achievements. Until one day, when everything was about to go right, the world came turning down on her. Everything had changed in a blink because of one thing that she wasn't able to keep track of. Because of her pride, and the pressure of her mother, she didn't know how to handle the problem, especially when she isn't used to failure. So she ran out to wherever and ended up finding herself into some place she didn't even know that existed. From there, she learned that there are so many things in life that she's missing, one of this is falling in love. Again, when things were going great with his guy and with his life, a sudden turn of event happened. The truth about the incident on her job was revealed and she was forced to choose between going back to her old life or pursuing the lifestyle that she has now. Well that's all for now hope I did not spilled some spoilers about the book. But I cried a little on the last part. It was cute and amazing :) This book perfectly fits for all the workaholics out there. :)

Google Books Downloader for Windows and Mac OS X

Currently, you can purchase books (U.S. only) or download more than 3 million free books from anywhere in the world using this service. As announced by Google, the aim of this project is to provide users with their own bookshelf on hand, no matter where they are. Purchased or downloaded books can be read using a desktop browser, as well as through mobile devices based on the Android operating system or iOS. Additionally, the books can be read on any e-reader with Adobe Digital Editions software. As opposed to the Picasa service which provides an access to photos, the Google Books service does not allow users to download free electronic editions without digital copy protection and use them on other devices.
