I know the canon-nature of the videogame is debated, given deviations with the modern films, but I do like Winston's Egyptology doctorate as a concept, I think it balances out the scientific focal points of the group well. With Ray and Egon invested in the organic and mechanical, Peter in psychology and the Winston in history, which gives them an appropriately wide berth for researching the supernatural. Plus, it makes sense, since ghosts are often (though not always in this universe) the animated shadows of long dead entities - I'm shocked they never had a historian prior to this mention. I think it makes for a very cool, fundamental component of a ghost orientated team... canon to me idc
