this is such a good question i don’t even know where to start.
i don’t even think i can pick just one for all of them.
while i think they all loved the same music, and for the most part all of the seventies rock bands, these are the ones i think each of them would be specialized in.
for remus, this one is very easy. i think his favorite band would be fleetwood mac simply because he has ✨taste✨. he liked all kind of music but they were his number one. when rumours came out at the end of their sixth year, remus had the record immediately and played it every single day. his favorite songs were the chain and never going back again. i also think he would’ve been a big bob dylan fan as well (just imagine him singing like a rolling stone) “how does it feeeeeelllllllllll”
for james, where do i even begin. as basic as it is, i think his favorite band would’ve been the beatles. especially because it was lily’s favorite band too. i also think he would’ve loved billy joel. the stranger was his favorite album, and he would play it on repeat. the day he moved into his first house with lily, he was singing moving out all day (to lily’s greatest annoyance and his parents amusement). i think james also would’ve loved the clash. (and of course, abba).
sirius definitely was the most rock and roll out of all of them, how could he not be? he loved the stones. LOVED them. you could hear sirius singing “i can’t get no... satisfaction” at really any time of the day. he also loved zoning out and listening to pink floyd after a long day. the wall was his absolute favorite album. led zeppelin? don’t even get him started! “BEEN DAZEDDD AND CONFUSED, FOR SO LONG ITS NOT TRUE”. and lastly, ramble on was his absolute anthem.
peters favorite band was definitely queen. i’m sorry but he’s not getting a paragraph because i just can’t think about him for that long without getting upset. these are the boys that loved him so much and he let down :)
the more i think about this the harder it gets because i know i’m missing so much. as a collective, the boys loved all of these bands and artists mentioned, along with earth wind & fire, talking heads, simon & garfunkel, and of course everything on this playlist.
