❝ I'm not, really, ❞ he insists -- avoiding his usual puns, not wanting Glisten any more cross with him than he already was, ❝ It just caught me off guard is all...ᐟ.ᐟ ❞ His words, just by his tone alone, are obviously a lie. It was just the way the sound reverberates within his glass head that makes him freak out a little bit, it... It was embarrassing...

What's even more embarrassing is how easy he is to read -- even Goob would be able to tell what he's thinking.

Pure Vanilla Cookie slowly got up off the ground before dusting off his clothes, his doughy head throbbed a little from the fall from the portal he was suddenly sent through.

He looked to be in a hospital of sorts?

He couldn't tell as he blinked his yellow and blue eyecing a few times, holding his flower staff close as the eye on it focuses on the scenery.

First things first, he needs to figure out where he ended up as this wasn't Crispia or Earthbread for that matter. He remained cautious with each step, gulping a little as he grips the flower staff close.

It's unfortunate that he'll never be able to experience it himself, being stuck within the confines of Gardenview, but at least... he can live vicariously through his mermaid companion.

Dandy struggled to maintain holding his enormous form upright, hind legs trembling from the hefty weight. The twisted stifled a growly whine as tiredness brought him ever so closer to the surface below with each passing moment.

    Even when he was inevitably on the ground, he didn't seem particularly restful. Each breath the megaflora took was labored && deep { CAN'T MOVE. }, bloodshot eyes nervously shifting about the area before re-fixating.

    . . .

    ᴬˢᵗʳᵒ — ?

    His puffed petals relaxed a bit; the crimson borders of his vision blurred as his eyelids became heavier, his prior snarl unfurling the more Astro's soft glow bloomed in the center his gaze.

    And then, the other came closer.

    With some of his remaining strength, Dandy drags himself forward. Slowly. Inch by inch, claws raking across the ground as he does so, leaving their harsh impression into the floor. All the while occasionally letting out a low, unintelligible grunt.

Content with his new spot, Dandy closed his eyes && lazily nestled his head against his moon, mumbling as he sung. His face was warm with perpetual fever, the sun is burning up.

It wasn't his intention to be gone for that long; really, it wasn't. He'd just become a bit occupied with what he'd been doing to the point of losing track of time, and had also almost lost the tapes which were now on the floor a few times while coming back. If things hadn't turned out that way, or if the center wasn't as big as it was, he'd be back in a flash.

He is about to come up with an explanation laced with half-truths, though hearing of Looey and Yatta being worried sick about him makes him pause. He didn't mean to... he would have to find them immediately after this, to tell them he was alright and fine. No problems, no scratches or bites form any Twisteds... and that he was sorry for making them worry.

...He'd still have to come up with something for Astro, though.

He wasn't lying, there WERE things he was looking for that the toons could use for later; and for him, those tapes would be such. He does make sure to leave out the specific part about him looking for rooms not seen before AND ways out of Gardenview, however. He doesn't want assume anything bad, on account of thinking of the other very positively (after all, he was one of the few toons outside of the troupe that understood him!), but he still isn't sure how Astro would react if he casually shared that information.

❝ Aw, geez... That's reelly kind of you say, Pearl -- ❞ one hand holds his beloved Barnaby close to his chest, the other meekly rubbing the back of his bowl. She's really got him a little speechless here .ᐟ.ᐟ Only able to just stand there shyly. What a dork.
