The prompts for General Danvers & Supercat Week 5 are here! Below are some basic ideas for each day to get you started. Feel free to interpret the general theme any way you want. For any other questions regarding the event, see the FAQ page.
Day 1: Enemies to Lovers (ex: old rivalries, star-crossed lovers)
Day 2: Against the Odds (ex: outnumbered, overcoming obstacles)
Day 3: Teamwork (ex: sports AUs, detective AUs)
Day 4: Distance (ex: long distance, coming back from a trip)
Day 5: Stuck Together (ex: quarantined, captured)
Day 6: Family (ex: introducing a new family member, family time)
Day 7: Role Reversal (ex: body swap, on opposite sides)
Day 8: Creator’s Choice (anything relevant, whether new or WIP!)

It’s that time again! Supercat Week is back, and this year we’re teaming up with @generaldanversweek to run a combined event for double the trouble, double the fun!
All prompts will fit both pairings, so you’ll have the freedom to fill for whichever ship you choose – or both!
General Danvers & Supercat Week 5 will run from October 11th through October 18th, 2020.
As always, we hope to see our dashboards flooded with various fic, gifs, edits, videos, and whatever other works you are inspired to create based on the prompts. Prompts for the new week will be revealed shortly, so watch this space!
Sunday, October 11th kicks off this year’s joint General Danvers & Supercat Week with @generaldanversweek, and we’re looking forward to see all the awesome things you’ve made.

It’s officially the 11th in half the world, so General Danvers & SuperCat week is kicking off! We’re excited to see what everyone’s come up with. So post to the AO3 collection, share on tumblr by tagging #supercatweek or #general danvers week within the first 5 tags, and then be sure to check out what everyone else has made as well. And remember, comments and kudos are participation too!
This year we’re partnering with General Danvers Week, so there are new twists for even familiar faces! This means a few possible changes, and lots of possible fun.
From the 11th through the 18th of October, we’ll be asking you to post Supercat (or General Danvers) content that you’ve created especially for this week of celebrating our lovely little ships.
To give you inspiration, we’ll suggest some broad themes for each day. While there will be examples provided that you’re welcome to use, please also go wild and interpret the prompts any way you like.
What do you mean by joint event?
This week all the prompts work for either pairing (or both if you’re inspired!) and will run at the same time as General Danvers week.
Does that mean I have to write General Danvers?
Not if you don’t want! All prompts will work equally well for Supercat alone. You’re free to pick either pairing for the whole week, for a specific prompt, or include both pairings in your fill. The only requirement is that at least one of the pairings be the focus.
How does it work?
You don’t have to sign up or pledge. Anyone who wants to join, just take a look at the themes and start creating. And this event isn’t just for writers either!
Fanfiction, fanart, graphics, gifs, vids, fanmixes, meta, wallpapers, icons, etc. are all welcome. If it’s about Kara and Cat (or Alex and Astra), and you made it, we wanna see it!
But don’t post them right away!
As you’ll see from the information below, there are certain dates for certain prompts. All content for the prompts should be posted for the date listed. If you’ve created something for Supercat, tag your work with #supercatweek (within your first 5 tags), so that we can reblog it!
Does your work also (or only) have General Danvers? Tag it with #general danvers week (again within the first 5 tags) so @generaldanversweek can find it as well!
You can also add it to the joint ao3 collection, so everyone can revel in the goodies.
We’ll compile masterlists for each day and the whole week, so nobody misses out on great new Supercat stuff.
Are there rules?
Not many! We ask that you create something new or specifically for Supercat Week. So no reposting or updating your WIPs here please. Obviously the exception for this is Day 8: Creator’s Choice where WIP updates are encouraged if they fit the Stronger Together theme!
Make sure to use the tag on tumblr and/or the collection on AO3 so that all works can be counted and shared with the Supercat fandom to enjoy. There’s no limit on size, length, or rating. Crossovers and AUs are perfectly acceptable. You can post just to Tumblr (with the tag), just to AO3 (add it to the collection) or to both.

As you can see, the themes this year all fall into the broader idea of “Stronger Together”.
Post your work on the day that matches your theme, or if you’re a bit late, throw it up on the last day, which is creator’s choice.
And don’t feel like you need to make a fanwork for all eight days.You can pick and choose for which ones you’re inspired by, or you can do all eight. And if you’re considering making more than one a day, hell yeah!
If you’re just now reading this and General Danvers & Supercat Week has already started, feel free to jump right in! And don’t stress too much about the deadline. We will always accept late submissions!
I don’t have a tumblr. Can I still participate?
Absolutely! Feel free to spread this event around to other sites and maybe have some of your friends signal boost. If you want to make things but don’t have a blog, just use the submission or ask boxes to give us a link to your creation, and it will absolutely be added to the site. Anon is always enabled on both, so please don’t feel like this is only for tumblr. And of course there’s always the AO3 Collection as well!
