Well this was cute. I think it was a story that could definitely have been slimmed down and told in just one book, but I'm not complaining too much, even if this book did tend to drag just a teeny bit (and I was listening to it at 2.15x the speed, too) at certain parts. Certainly a better foot forward for Cambria Hebert than her other series, but I'm definitely getting out while the getting is good here. I'm not going to let this one sour by reading its likely-worse sequels.

A pretty good timewaster, much more enjoyable than the #Nerd books but still on the same par as far as the writing goes. I'm just gonna read the second book and call it good; that's what I did with Hebert's other series. Hopefully no bullshit cliffhangers in the next book. Fingers crossed.

Book Synopsis:
What’s meant to be will always find a way. Perfection isn’t an illusion. I met it, held it in my hands. But then it slipped right through. Perfection isn’t an illusion. It’s elusive, cleverly evasive, and, in many ways, a horrible tease. I’m not a man to be toyed with. Quiet, thoughtful, and even sometimes careful, but never someone to taunt. Even the most controlled men have a breaking…

E eu tô amando 👉❤👈 #livros #leitores #lendo #ler #romances #literaturaestrangeira #gearshark #cambriahebert #lgbt #estante #instabooks #instablogger

Synopsis
Nothing but a #blur… There’s a new kid in town, and he’s hell on wheels. From what we’ve heard, it may be because he knows exactly what hell’s like. Lonely. Scorching. Unforgiving. You may know his brother, the NRR hotshot (and former GearShark cover model) Lorhaven. It’s only natural a driver with his background and family connections has sped his racecar into the newest, hottest division. But that’s not all. Arrow may be following in big bro’s tread marks, but he doesn’t plan to stay there. He’s swerving onto the road less traveled… and a lot more controversial. He’s opening up about his private struggles with sexuality to tell a story that’s gone unheard until now. One thing’s for sure; Arrow may have a painful past, but his foot is heavy on the accelerator. With speed like this, he’s bound to leave everything behind in nothing but a #blur. MY REVIEW
“Two broken shards, two drained batteries, two men who were merely shells. What could we offer each other?”
This book was impossible to put down, Cambria had said that it was a very long book but to me it flew by. From moment one I was sucked into the story, I already loved Arrow from the past books in the series so I was more than ready to have him as the main character but I think I wasn’t really ready, not really. His story is a sad one, a tragic one, one that was difficult to read because of how much I care about him, those first few chapters weren’t easy to read and I have to admit tears were shed, but I also feel that those chapter were important even pivotal for us to really understand him, his fight and how he came to be the way he is.
This book brought us another surprise, Hopper, I was not expecting him, I never imagined that he would have a past so troubled that he too was in pieces for so long and that he too needed someone to help put the pieces back together.
Those first chapter were hard to read but so important to the story and I truly appreciate Cambria’s effort to makes us understand this characters a bit more.
The rest of the book was soooooooo swoony, I mean seriously who knew those two would react to one another that way, that they attraction was not only physical but also on another level, a lever where their hearts recognize each other as meant to be.
As I said in the beginning the book was hard to put down, the story develops beautifully and I enjoyed every second of it (even the one where I was crying).
This is one of my favorite series of ALL TIME, I just loved every single character and their love stories make me so very very happy.
