Idk how to reblog replies but from the words of @gee1 :  Merit scholarship from what I remember only requires a minimum of 15 credit hours during the term (this is subject to change), and last term it was a minimum of a 2.0GPA with priority going to students with higher GPA. I got around 2.5k per term via merit with a 3.7 GPA!

Shout out to you, too! :D Sorry, it’s taken me a few days to reply. My media production classes are cutting into my tumblr life. NEVERTHELESS, I am happy to see an Ewhaian here! I absolutely loved my time at Ewha last spring and seriously considered spending the summer (and maybe fall) year there, but given that I already made plans on coming home and booking my flight way back before I even arrived, I decided to come back. I don’t regret it though! I guess, one bad thing is I can’t see all the new Ewhians over at Ewha.

I would have loved to grab a coffee/dinner/bingsu with those who are still there (including you! :D).

Thank you for stopping by and leaving encouraging words. It makes me happy to be able to connect with people and help people who may be having troubles. I may not have all the answers, but I try my best. I’ll be sure to check out your page, too, now that I have some free time on my hands. :))

i never like to judge pacing on the first watch because it always seems to go by either really fast or really slow and it has nothing to do with the organization itself? at least for me. ive never been good at judging pacing anyway and even if i was im pretty ok with whatever you give me like as long as you give me a good story i couldnt give less of a shit

my thought is that maybe they have to save their budget for things like the wan episodes and i think there’s a couple two parters after this one, so they’ll go big for fights and cgi thing but they might have to save for the bigger plot parts.

thats a good point - like, there was a HUGE difference in the quality of the fight scenes/spirits and scenes/details like the talk around the campfire or whatever, which makes sense i guess, but still

mostly tho i think its just the new animation studio. i mean studio mir just gets it RIGHT man even if they dont have all the time they did for book 1 - so im way more pumped for the second half of the season for that alone

Buddhism class?? Could you tell me about what you cover in that class? i'm a Buddhist myself, haha..

Oh, yeah! We covered tons of stuff in that class: the basics of Buddhism with the Eightfold Path and the Three Jewels, the difference between Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism, the history of Buddhism, different Buddhas and bodhisattvas, Zen Buddhism, meditation, rituals and religious practices, some art history and material culture, Buddhist philosophy - especially as it relates to emptiness and no-self and whatnot; abhidharma, karma and the sangha, lifestyles of monks and nuns, and so on. We read a bunch of sutras and koans, too. We also took a field trip to a Thai Buddhist temple near my university, which was amazing.
