So, earlier my fiance and I were talking briefly about the game Until Dawn, and that got us making up alternative pronunciations of Windego. Before I continue, for those that don't know, a Windego is a spirit from Native American mythology that possesses people and really likes how human flesh tastes. A Wendigo is a person that turned into a man eating monster after cannibalizing their fellows, specifically during the winter for sustenance, if I remember right. I was looking them up for something and found both them and Skinwalkers absolutely fascinating. It is also the title of a story in the book of nightmares from every 90's kid's childhood known as Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. There's not a single one of us that doesn't have the artwork from that book burned into our brains, and only liars will tell you otherwise. In this story, the Wendigo calls someone's name eerily over the wind during winter nights. Alright, now that we're all caught up, on with my story. So, we were coming up with amusing ways to pronounce Windego and I happened to blurt out the horrible word Windegeese. It led to jokes about eerie honks in the cold night air of deepest, darkest winter, but did not undo the horror that I had unwittingly brought into the world.
Windegeese...
I did a thing. How do I undo the thing?
Please tell me you know what the Goose Game is because I'm convinced that the Goose and Riley would be best friends
Somewhat. I’ve seen screenshots. So maybe?
Riley: DEATH TO GEESE.
Jimmy: Yeah, there was a Thing. We all came out of it pecked to shit except Frank, because he didn’t flip off the geese.
Frank: I told you not to.
Riley: They started it! They honked at us! Aggressively!
Frank: Sticks and stones may break my bones--
Riley: but geese will fucking kill me.
Frank: You know what, if that’s what it takes to make you leave them alone, sure. That’s how that goes.
Last week I watched my friend do stand up, and part of his set was about how birds are terrible and frightening.
Apparently it worked too well
Talks like a swan, walks like a swan, might be a goose
Omg thats a pretty low storm cloud and oh, it's moving quite fast and it's pretty loud but doesn't sound like thunder, it sounds kinda like honk honk, oh, oh god that, thats not, ahhbhhhhhhhh
Geese are fucking evil man!
I was at the park and I saw this mf
What evil plans is he thinking about? Trying to dominate the world?
I wonder if geese know how much I hate them. They’re always so smug. And for what? Cause you can fly, walk, and swim? Bunch of jerks
