He started out as a dumb character idea and then just... kind of started doing his own thing???
Keith Damien O'Rinne (born Cináed-Cathal O'Rinne) has a lot of emotional trauma shit from when he was young (I won't get into specifics since it's a little... yikes, but it involves death) and at some point he made a pact with a demon (technically an incubus) to become his host, but on condition that those he dearly loves and cares for (basically his best-friend-and-neighbour-and-technical-foster-sibling-turned-lover Ethan O'Halloran at the moment) never experiences harm by the demon's doing, in which the demon agrees to.
But Keith has a lot of pent-up aggression and homicidal ideations and accidentally murders someone, in which after he disappears for several years. Ethan (born Énna-Tadhg O'Halloran) is absolutely worried, they haven't heard from their boyfriend in years, and they're tired of waiting for him to come back home. So they go out and try to find him, knowing that Keith made a promise to come back home to Ethan, whether that be Keith finding them or them finding him. This goes on for months.

Shush, I'm the one telling this story. Eventually, Ethan does find Keith, but they lose their right eye in the process. Turns out, Keith's demonic host Alftharosk (or Aftuhk, in his tongue) was trying to divert all of Keith's aggression and absolute hatred of everything elsewhere, to someplace better. But that only happens when Ethan finds Keith again. And then the two are led to a temple like structure that Alftharosk apparently built. Inside, they meet Ásgeirr Sítheach (born Hunter Ifearnán), a human, now deitic vessel of Set, the Egyptian god of chaos and storms. And also two big black inky, shadowy doggos named Kerberos and Ulframn.
Eh, close enough. And if you figured, Ásgeirr gave Silas (you probably know him as Hunter, or formerly Xander) his original name.
BUT Ásgeirr technically isn't from the same universe as Keith and Ethan. Keith and Ethan's Ásgeirr... never happened. He's still Hunter, still mortal, not a vessel. In Ásgeirr's universe, Keith doesn't accept the demon's pact, and the demon kills both Keith and Ethan. Dark stuff.
