Someday I will stop bothering you and will leave you and your beautiful (but often tragic) OC children alone. . . but it is not this day! I wanted to know (if they're not spoilers) more about the relationship between Daern'thal and Henne'thel? They seem really lovely, and I kind of want to hug them both! Also curious about Oranani and Felralan: they are twin souls? SBut is their relationship supportive or more unhealthy? Finally:am I correct that there are 3 that use "she/her" in your pantheon?
Never stop bothering me, please. I love it. XD I love talking about my babies. I am a proud, proud mama.
So first, Henne’thel and Daern’thal! They are a sweet couple, and had a wonderful, sweet courtship. The two just genuinely love each other, and have a very healthy relationship. Henne’thel actually started the courtship. She is known for her songs and stories, and ended up sharing some with Daern’thal and that was really where it all began.
For their wedding, Daern’thal gifted Henne’thel with a cloak he wove from the Dreaming, which shielded her from magical danger. In turn Henne’thel crafted a song and placed it into a wind chime, and where it rang in the Dreaming, no evil could befall those who heard it.
The Dalish who worship the Forgotten Ones remember the stories of Dream and Song, about the two gods whose love was so strong it bound them for all eternity. Many of those Dalish will sing a song for their loved ones instead of marriage vows, to honor Henne’thel and bless the union.
And now on to Oranani and Felralan! Yes, the two are twin-souls. They were spirits of Vigilance (Oranani) and Neglect/Negligence (Felralan). Their relationship is pretty supportive, yes. Oranani’s nature as a former spirit of vigilance does make her rather overbearing at times. She is always watching everything, after all and she tends to hover. She is a looming figure in general because she is...extremely large. @feynites and I had talked once about giant elves, and the idea struck me and so Oranani is one.
They are a rarity in that they ruled together and when worshiped by the Dalish, are often prayed to jointly. Felralan has a tendency to...not do well in regards to ruling and looking after others or himself, which is why Oranani has taken him under her wing and helps steer him in proper directions. This does make it so that her will is the one we see most often, of course. Felralan often just goes with what she wants and gives her his power to do so when she asks.
Yes, there are three that use she/her pronounces: Henne’thel, Aenwyn, and Oranani. And then he/him is Sariandi and Felralan, and my versions of Anaris, Daern’thal, and Geldaraun. And then Melarue obviously is they/them.
Thanks for the ask! And as always, feel free to send more questions my way!
