After many weeks inbetween, my water obsession continues.
Couldn’t help but do somethin for the blue schtuball of @blue-diamond-steven and ended up spending wayyy too much time on this. But here it is! Steven’s room!
Each of the six platforms, at the same time a surrealistically deep bath of water, represents one stage of grief (theyre in a random ish order tho oops). From the top, a thin waterlayer flows down them, capable of taking the owner of the room from platform to platform.
Around, lil water bubbles fly about on wings of light, obeying to the owner’s wishes and similar to the pink clouds able to form and imitate anything the owner desires. Are they destroyed somehow, new flying drops arise out of the endless sea around the platform tower.
In times of distress, it may rain, storm and thunder. Is one stage of grief reached, the sea level rises to engulf that platform, making it inaccesable until stability is restored. Going in the ocean is not recommended. Diving into the platform-baths causes the gem to become emotionally unstable as it takes on that stage of grief. (Don’t dive into depression, is all I say.)
A dip of the toes however may open to the gem either their true feelings or make them recognize what stage they are in and perhaps what bath may help them to work out their feelings.
(If youre stuck in anger so much that the ocean rises, however, you must live out your feelings before the ocean calms and you may work through it by accessing the platform.)
Hope my contribution is noticed and appreciated! I know you said that his room is just like pink’s except its water and not clouds or something like that? But yeah. Take zhis. Was a good practice for backgrounds, too!
(And good for a game of find the lil Steven, lol.)
Finished product + ref collection + sketches until I got to the final idea
