Bi-color sapphire, though really you can see more than just the yellow and the blue-black.  Oranges permeate the left side; the right, when light shines directly on it, contains browns.

It’s a sturdy gem-cut stone from a store going out of business on eBay. Hence, I grabbed it for way less than it normally would have been.

As for the personal vibe I get from it, I’m not sure. The cut and the grain both sparkle very nicely, and I can trust that this critter will be alright as I carry it along in my crossbody bag... tho... I worry that it will be the one to cut my phone screen up if they’re side by side in different pockets!!

Currently carrying this and the star sapphire marble from Earthlight!  Considering, though, switching this out for my ruby shiva...hmm..

Shimmering Rutilated Quartz free form. Rutile forms in needles that often is included in Quartz. The Rutile can be golden in color like this piece, but also can be silver or red. The Rutile strands are called needles, and are extremely frigid when not included in a crystal. The dispersion of the Rutile, and the color/clarity of the Quartz play a big roll in the quality of a piece. When the Rutile is growing in interesting patterns, or spread out in a way that causes this shimmer effect, it can be more coveted than when it is densely included and you can’t see in-between the needles. As the Quartz becomes whiter or clearer in color as well as in clarity, the ability to see the strands also increases as does the rarity. Rutile is a “stone for stabilization”, of relationships, marriages, mental processes, and emotional and physical imbalances. A royal cut diamond. It was quite tough to draw the gemstone at this angle. I haven’t really done so successfully before. Inspired by @ravensrora​ suggestion to make a gem based of @darkipliier​
