Amber was a bizarre case. She is a noncrystaline gem, and showed some deformity in her powers from the beginning of her birth. Born on the homeworld, Amber did not conform to her role as most other gems did, she spent many days alone, pondering who she was and what she was meant to do with herself. Without any answers, she grew distant from her own kind and found solace in literature, nature, and meditation. Her weapon is a long katana she calls Kodainoken, which means "Ancient blade." Her strength lies in her speed and precision, often finding and exploiting the weaknesses in her opponents, she will strike without mercy and with such speed, she can literally walk past her opponent humming a song and, on the final note, only then does her opponent fall dead. Amber met Jade, her soon to be friend and ally against the gems when Jade sought her out to recruit her in a resistance movement against the Diamond Authority. Amber knew of Earth, knew of Rose Quartz, and agreed that if anyone might understand her feelings of disconnection from her own kind, it would be Rose. To avenge the fall of Rose, she and Jade rose up to battle the Diamonds...but were defeated. Amber suffered a near fatal blow to her gem and it has been damaged. While still able to take on a physical form, she tires easily and overexertion or even a lucky hit to her gem could mean severe and permanent consequences...or even being shattered. However, this has only served to strengthen her resolve. She now lives on Earth with Jade, working to find ways to counter the Diamonds. If Jade is the hammer that will pound in the nail of jutice, then Amber is the blade that will cut a path to peace.
