The episode has only been out for an hour but I’m already in love with this show
I absolutely love all of the characters expressions! They’re so lively! This feels right up my alley lol.

I’ve always really loved these kinds of pixel backgrounds. I like looking at them and imagining what kinds of characters would live there, plus it gives me a lot of artistic motivation!
My favorite ones are definitely the ones that lean more towards fantasy, like the various ones that are like candy worlds (to which I love Candyland settings in general).
These are some of my favorites:
Ice Bird my beloved
I wish they went a little harder on the alien effect on his voice but overall, I liked how they’ve portrayed him in Slingshot Stories!
I love showing people this specific comic panel without any additional context.
I'm not sure if I'd call it an "inside joke," but it is something that reoccurs in my mind and makes me laugh for some reason.
I just love how the Chinese PVZ comics portray all the characters in general. Especially the plants. All their little faces are so cute and silly lol.
I am gonna have a field day with this face paint lol
I don’t think I’ve ever had something speak to me like Superflat Pop has. I first ran into the term in the middle of 2024, and ever since then I’ve been so fascinated by it. It led me to discovering things I wouldn’t have found otherwise, and reunited me with things I engaged with when I was really little.
My love for this kind of style was so strong that it single-handedly brought about my current artstyle. That’s how much it’s clicked with me. I could gush about it all day but I’ll leave it here for now lol.
This trope is a guilty pleasure for me, especially the more exaggerated takes on it
It just really reminds me of all those how to draw manga books I had. I actually still have them!
I also just like the trope of over exaggerated anime expressions so there’s that lol.
Man I love this show's artstyle so so much lol
Taken from this post. Apparently the 3rd episode is this week!
